Thomas Labille Chablis Mont de Milieu Premier Cru 2018
Description
Due west of the village of Chablis, Mont de Milieu is on the eastern bank of the Serein river, which bisects the region. The southerly aspect combines with limestone-rich soils to produce age-worthy, elegant Chardonnay. The winemaking mirrors that of the Village Chablis in an effort to showcase one of the prized terroirs of the region. Gunflint and white blossom mingle from nose to palate in this fresh-fruited, floral expression of one of Chablis’ top premier-cru sites. Full bodied and voluminous but held upright by a firm spine of acidity and delicate mineral tones, this immediately enjoyable wine.
