Description

Dark red and purple. Aromas of dark fruit, violets, blueberry, plum and toasted oak. On the palate blackberries, white pepper, sweet vanilla. Raspberry and toasted oak finish. 63% Primitivo; 20% Zinfandel; 17% Petite Sirah. Starting out with a concentrated, well-defined Zinfandel nose of ripe berries accented with touches woodsy spice and keyed on the same in its extended, mid-density flavors, Castoro’s Zinfusion is a well structured, full-bodied working that delivers lots of keen and continuous fruit and is fit with a nicely measured complement of firming, not intrusive tannins. It can age for a bit yet is not at all hard to access right now, and, just like its cellar mate below, it is made all the more attractive by its easy-to-like price
